Will the latest SEPA mandate increase EBICS adoption?

The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is the area where citizens, companies and other economic players will be able to make and receive payments in euros (whether between or within national boundaries) under the same basic conditions, rights and obligations, regardless of their location.

The main issue SEPA focuses on is the current divide between the way domestic and cross-border payments operate and are priced. With SEPA in place, corporates and consumers should be able to execute any payment within the euro area as easily and at the same cost as they would in their existing domestic payments.

Using Master Data Management to Cut B2B Costs, Increase Profit in the Supply Chain

Master data management (MDM) isn’t just for internal IT. It can also be applied to business-to-business systems as a way of improving the supply chain, according to Jignesh Shah, Software AG’s vice president of Business Infrastructure Products & Solutions.

Customer data is the most common use case for MDM, with 77 percent of organizations saying they use MDM for this type of data, according to a recent report by The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) . Products — including supplies, parts and bills of material — ranked second with 54 percent. Only 46 percent used MDM to improve data about suppliers, distributors and logistics partners in B2B systems.
