Software AG has been named a leader in 3 out of 4 integration segments considered by Forrester Research, Inc. in the recently published Hybrid² Integration report entitled “The Forrester Wave™: Hybrid² Integration, Q1 2014.” This report compared 14 Integration vendors in the market that provide 4 or more integration technologies, including cloud-based integration. Software AG has been named a leader in Wide Integration, Deep Integration and Internet of Things integration scenarios.

According to the report, Hybrid² Integration is “the concept of federated on-premises and cloud-based integration combined with the improved interoperability of existing and new middleware silos of application, business-to-business (B2B), business process management (BPM), business events, business rules, and data integration.”. The reason that analysts today are focusing on Hybrid Integration is that different types of integration may require multiple products and interoperability becomes key, making hybrid integration suites more relevant and useful.

Integration has evolved over the years and has several dimensions now. Solving one integration problem is good but companies need integration suites which solve multiple challenges really well. Buying point solutions – one solution for B2B, one for SOA, one for MFT etc. makes IT landscape complex and slows down new development as well as maintenance. That is the primary reason integration suites that handle hybrid scenarios are gaining traction with customers as well as with industry analysts.

Software AG’s webMethods is an integration suite which has handles Application Integration, Messaging, B2B, SOA Governance, API Management, MFT and MDM related scenarios extremely well and is one of the most comprehensive integration suite today making it the obvious choice for hybrid integration.
